The Train Cemetery is our first destination, just 3km out of town. Full of old steam trains, this makes a good photo spot.
20 km further, on the new ash felt road we arrive at the main entrance to the salt flats. This is a small town called Colchani .
Famous for mining and processing Salt. Here we can buy artifacts if you wish.
Next we are riding on the salt flat to Playa Blanca, the flags and Dakar monument.
After some more photos we cross the Salar riding to the Cactus island in the center, called Incahuasi
A great spot to take lunch, quinoa soup and the best llama steak. Then a tour of this volcanic island before heading back across the Salar. On the way back we will stop and takes some silly photos.
